There is a reason career politicians are held in contempt by voters—and this goes strongest for GOPers. Namely, talk, talk, talk, rack up a high “conservative score,” and accomplish squat for the cause.
They’ve been at it for DECADES.
In years past voters were perhaps impressed with “high conservative scores.” Nowadays we’ve caught onto the game. “High conservative scores” amount to great talking points for the possessor of same. Their benefit to voters: zero, zilch, nada, the donut.
Trump is not a career politician. What he is is a patriot who loves his country and will put it first. That trumps a bright, shiny scorecard that hadn’t advanced conservative causes one millimeter.
I hope you are right, I really do. I’m not sure how many mm Trump has advanced the cause.
So, the way one votes has no meaning for you? If votes don’t matter, what is the point in having leaders that don’t vote? Is the solution to not vote? Is that what you are saying? Conservatism is actually often defeated by the blackrobed tyrants people call judges. Anytime a conservative law is passed they throw it out and say it is unconstitutional, regardless.
