In my opinion, it is rude to insult other people. It is rude if you do it in a cool, “objective” tone. It is rude if you do it with vulgarity and name-calling. It is rude if you do it in such a way that a person reading a transcript “could” understand it as not being insulting, if he tried.

This is an attempt to describe different ways of being rude. An analogy is that shooting, stabbing, and poisoning are different ways of killing.

I hope this gives an idea of what I meant.

So what kind of rude is Rubio, jumping around the stage like as 12 year old, talking about penises? Or Cruz’s embarrassingly nasty speech on the day he ‘quit’ the race? Or Perry’s cancer remark? Or Snarly’s endless insults?

I mean, this is politics and it gets ugly. Trump is no worse than any of them - simply more effective. That always pisses off the losers!

Question - Is the term 'low energy' used in relation to Jeb Bush, an insult or simply the truth as Trump saw it (and as did the primary electorate)?

Jeb can take offense at this term, but that doesn't mean it wasn't true. And the truth is an affirmative defense to slander/libel accusations.
