You know what’s crazy? Thinking we ever ‘won’ a damn thing by wasting hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives trying to nation build in the Middle East.
Crazier still would be the inability or willingness to recognize the futility of our course, and then instead of acknowledging the waste to never reconsider it and to just hurl insults at anyone who questioned our premises by asking us what we actually imagined this adventure was going to, or had, accomplished.
