"We took a stance and we are going to continue to embrace our belief of diversity and inclusion," Cornell said. He reassured customers who are concerned about their safety, saying, "we are also going to make sure our commitment to safety is unwavering."
Cornell likened the public backlash against Target to when the retailer started used African American models in advertising in the mid 1960s.
Chuckling aloud...
And this is supposed to get me back in his store?
Less than unlikely.

Seems to me Target needs a new CEO, and very soon.

Keep this front and center. The longer Target fights, the worse it gets for them.
I HATE it when crony-capitalist f***s like this CEO try and use leftist narratives and cliches on what are actually highly divisive issues - for pure marketing gain. They play with fire - but they rarely get burned.
Let’s hope this guy and Target burn their business down with this one.

wasn’t Target the company who banned the Salvation Army at Christmas?

You’re morally bankrupt and you’re taking your company down too.

These CEOs threaten to not do business with states like Indiana and North Carolina because they don’t think people should have to be forced to participate in gay ‘weddings’ or believe men should use men’s restrooms and women use women’s restrooms, but willfully do business with countries who will jail people for being gay or even put them to death.
To: freespirit2012
I think they may be the store that decided to ban the concept of their being girls’ toys and boys’ toys, and girls’ clothes and boys’ clothes because it was ‘casting a stereotype’ or some such nonsense.
To: PhiloBedo
Let’s see how many billion$ Target can lose, before they bring out the hook for the CEO.

(Meanwhile, being concerned for Brian Cornell's recent senseless, bizarre, and weirdly erratic decisions and behaviors, his personal physician had him given a head x-ray, but, as you can see, it does not appear that there is any obvious brain damage shown there, so the mystery remains...)
