Yep, I find it very difficult to believe the government would allow flea market vendors to accept food stamps in the first place. I wonder if the government overseers were investigated?

This happens all the time. In Maine I saw it happen constantly. One other thing that happened, the bums would buy cases of bottle water at Dollar Tree and then sell the bottles at recycling centers at Shaws and Hannafords. One guy I know did that to buy a bus ticket to get out of Maine since he was unemployed for over a month and couldn't get anything. Nothing new folks. Kudos to Miami for stepping up.

So many crimes would be impossible if we eliminated cash from the economy. Sweden has already done this and the results are astonishing. Almost no robberies or gas station hold-ups. Any transactions for drugs or guns would require use of a system with central monitoring and accounting that could be tracked. The drug cartels would collapse in weeks.

That reminds me of a blogger some years ago who worked as a cashier in ME. One of her customers would use his EBT to buy only hotdogs, buns, and mustard. He owned a hot dog stand and did mostly a cash business so he was officially ‘poor.’

Authorities didn’t touch on consequences that the food-stamp recipients should face for also breaking the law. They also committed fraud by knowingly taking cash—instead of food—which is illegal under program rules.

Arrest the recipients, put them to work on a chain-gang building a fence along the border with Mexico.

I think I know who you’re talking about. I want to say that this is good, that they are subsidizing a man’s honest living but its hard for me to do so. This wouldn’t even be necessary if people like him weren’t being cheesed by the state.
