But if Hillary drops out who will JEB and Lindsey vote for?

Even if the Democrats somehow manage to get Clinton to quit, they aren't going to nominate Crazy Bernie. They aren't that crazy. We can guess as to how well that will go over.

I just replied to someone that asked about Trump vs. Sanders.

But, I agree with your assessment, using the same example I used earlier: the Nixon campaign against McGovern.

Democrats created the large number of super-delegates specifically to prevent someone like McGovern from being nominated again. It was a complete blow-out, eclipsed only by Reagan's 1984 campaign.

Yes, the US has changed a lot since then -- but I don't think it's changed THAT much. The majority of baby boomers are no longer starry-eyed progressives. Yes, there's a new crop of them, but they are proportionally less than before.

We have a lot more immigrants than back then, but I think Trump can make the case that illegal immigrants really hurt LEGAL immigrants in several ways. Blacks are finally figuring this out.

And if Preet Bratha can get Prince Andrew of Gnu Yak Sitty under indictment (which is a possibility) then the party may just have committed Harry Carry...

The leaking of the details of her corruption which is the other prong of the FBI investigation is increasing in frequency. I don’t think she’ll make the convention. Add to that there have been three adulatory articles on Biden recently.

This Huffington Poster can unknot his undies, there will be no indictment.
There was a time in American history that Presidents committing perjury would have been grounds for removal.
The Democrats don’t care how corrupt their leaders are.
They will always circle the wagons and that includes their allies in the Ministry of Propaganda.

Everybody touts FBI Chief, Comey as a straight arrow, but given the known evidence to date and the time it’s already taken, I’m not too optimistic.

Comey is in an unenviable position: indicting the leading candidate for the Democrat nomination. Whatever he does (or doesn't do), he is going to be accused of political interference.

I think he is being absolutely sure all the I's are dotted, and the T's are crossed. If the FBI is to seek an indictment for a crime -- any crime -- the case has to be iron-clad.

This takes time, especially when you are dealing with the Clinton's -- who know how to obfuscate and dissemble while pretending to cooperate. They have so many people in both the government and the media that are willing to lie for them, they don't have to do it themselves.

I think Hillary is scared sh**less over this, because she can no longer control what evidence the FBI sees. But, she has to keep reaching for that brass ring, because the minute she stops her enemies will throw her under the bus.

Any bet on a promise of presidential pardon?

‘Just keep running, we’ll stall them and worse case scenario I pardon you.’

I imagine that’s how the conversation went anyways.

If anything happens it won’t be until after the Election itself. Comey is playing games. He is interviewing Hillary’s co-conspirators and is not allowing relevant questions. Why would he want to interview Hillary? Her lawyer is in touch with the FBI on a daily basis. Hillary would not be willing to give any information. Why would her lawyer let her say anything. She has already admitted to several things that are crimes. Comey is playing this out. He has already been given his marching orders from the WH.

The FBI/DOJ have all the evidence they need to indict for the entire email fiasco, the Clinton Foundation kickbacks, espionage, etc... They should charge and then keep investigating. That is usually how it works. They have a continuing duty to provide any new evidence they find and can add charges if needed. This entire fiasco is already bought and paid for by the $Billons Clinton stole from STATE.

She’s immune. If she is charged, the press will blame it on the republicans in general, and Trump in particular. It doesn’t have to make sense.

I don't think that Obama would do that. There's no love lost between him and the Clinton's. I've always suspected that the reason Hillary withdrew in 2008 was because Obama had dirt on her and/or Bill.

I'm sure that Hillary has dirt on Obama, too. But, she couldn't use it without being branded a racist and giving up the opportunity to try again in 2016. So, she took the SoS job instead and figured out how to "monetize" it by laundering bribes through the Clinton Foundation.

At this point, I don't think she can threaten Obama with anything. She might try a scorched earth tactic if he doesn't protect her. But, if Obama were to actually pardon Hillary, that would be his legacy -- much like it was Gerald Ford's legacy.

But, you might be right about one thing: there is a "promise". If so, Hillary would be a fool to believe it.

“I think Hillary is scared sh**less over this, because she can no longer control what evidence the FBI sees. “

Not only that. Hilary can’t control what the WORLD sees. Remember, Putin is out there lurking with thousands of her hacked emails.

Tick.
Tock.

I wouldn't put too much hope on that. If it's true, he's not going to show his hand. He will keep his ace in the hole until he can use it against Clinton to get something he wants.

However, the "source" for this claim is a dubious website that claimed the "limited" release back in 2013 was from the Russian FSB. But, it was actually from the Romanian "Guccifer".

Now, Guccifer claims to have gigabytes of data from Clinton's server stashed somewhere. If that's true, and it has any of the classified emails in it, that's prima facie evidence of gross negligence by at least Clinton's staff -- and I'll bet they won't take the fall for her.

The thoroughly corrupted ‘Justice Department is not going to indict the Clinton. Now if there were a black candidate instead of white bread Bernie, well the Clinton would be in an orange jump suit already!

However, an indictment from either the DoJ or the IRS would completely torpedo her campaign, and she would either withdraw in disgrace or go down in flames in November.

You think so? I think she'd probably successfully play the victim card and draw it out until her further-withered corpse has shed this mortal coil. The party seems to hate her but is willing to protect her from everything and everyone. No one's that lucky; she has a lot of help from a lot of powerful people for some reason.

But, I suspect he is as afraid of her wrath as everyone else.

Indeed. I see their continued relationship as a case of mutually assured destruction. Neither will upset the apple cart as a result. She gets to chase the presidency while peddling influence to the highest bidder via her money laundering foundation, and he gets to keep going to Lolita Island unimpeded.

‘Congressional Republicans are filing IMPEACHMENT papers on Koskinen...head of the IRS!!! THIS should have been done the DAY AFTER HE LIED TO CONGRESS WITH A SMIRK ON HIS FACE!!!!’

The DC Cartel calculates that it’s late enough in Obama’s second term to begin this ponderously slow process without upsetting the Uniparty apple cart.

"This state of affairs would never take place in any other leading democracy . . . "

They seem to say that with regret, as if progressive politicians should be immune from the law. Actually, that's probably what they DO believe.

And it can’t be too soon for me. Hopefully she drags a whole lot of them down with her.
