There’s no end to it.
My wife has what is called a “floater” on her eye. She has been told there’s nothing that can be done, that it’s normal and she’ll eventually get used to it. Of course, it could also lead to blindness.
Medicare did cover a doctor looking at her eye and telling her the above.
She meets all the requirements. She called Kelsey-Seybold (covered through Medicare) and was told they don’t cover it. She called Medicare and was told she’d have to wait until re-enrollment then drop Kelsey-Seybold then apply through Medicare. This will put her past the six months of weight loss program that she did through Kelsey-Seybold.
And by the way, the Medicare rep told her “It’s done on a case by case basis so there’s not guarantee.”
We’re not rich. In fact it will take all of our meager savings but if we have to we’ll pay cash.
Even post cataract surgery I get floaters as does my husband. A few blinks and they go away usually. Noting has been said about it other than it is a pesky issue.
I did note that they began pre cataract development. Mine developed earlier than most. The fact the first one developed in the center of the field of vision is rare. Second one developed at a normal pace and was not removed until a decade later, better technology and of course a much better surgeon, the tops in the field in Memphis. Medicare/Tricare Life did cover that totally.
Not only does Medicaid cover gastric bypass surgery, https://bariatricjournal.com/cost/medicaid/, they think that they will offer gastric balloon in the future.
