I think one of the things critics-and to a lesser extent, the public-admired about him was his indifference to pop music tastes.
The public may yet come to listen to Prince’s other work and know it. The vault has thousands of completed songs and at least 50 music videos starring Prince. An album could come out a year for the next 100 years. For a later generation, one of those could become the album they grow up with.
