W’s invasion of Iraq destroyed the oldest Christian community in the Middle East. It works both ways. both parties have blood on their hands.

Sadly, that is true. And the role of the Assad regime in taking in Christian and other minority refugees has never been acknowledged. They opened the door for them, and saved many lives .... for a while. Until regime change in Iraq turned to regime change in Syria.

Have the Gulf States ever taken a single refugee?

Actually, our failing to protect the Christian community in Iraq is what destroyed it, not the overthrow of Saddam’s regime. Why we failed to do so, I don’t know. Maybe we were afraid of being called “Crusaders” or maybe we were afraid of being accused of pro-Christian bias or maybe we were just too damn afraid.
