The best thing to do is stay as far away from this train wreck as possible. It’s just a shame that the US doesn’t currently have a free market advocating leader to point out, explicitly and loudly, what’s going on there and why it’s such a good lesson for everyone else.
And to add: a change of power there, even one that installs a free-market oriented leadership, is going to take enormously long to work. I can’t imagine that either internal entrepreneurs (assuming there are some left) or external companies and investors are going to be rushing back in once the doors open up again.

I agree. What I can see happening though, is as Maduro becomes more desperate and fearful of not only being removed from power, but for his own safety as well, is that he climbs in bed with those who offer protection from The Great Satan, specifically Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. As Venezuela’s system of socialism crumbles, Haji is there to offer an alternative, and Barry is fully aware of it.
