Backers of the criminal justice reform bill pending in Congress are intent on reducing the population of the federal prisons.
Their premise? Prisons are overflowing with minor drug offenders who have no reason to be incarcerated – “mass incarceration” is the term they like to use.
As many have pointed out, that premise is a lie. Less than one percent of the federal prison population is there for drug possession, and most of those pled down from a more serious offense. But the left is intent on releasing prisoners anyway – mostly before their sentences run. Those to be let out, since there are so few minor offenders, are often violent multiple offenders, many of whom will start committing more crimes as soon as they are released.

I can’t think of any sound reason to put career criminals back out on the streets.

What Obama and Dimocrats mean to say is the prisons are overflowing with black men and that is not good.....at least in their minds.
Who best to speed up Cloward-Piven? Overload the police force, causing them to make mistakes.
Best thing to do if they want to release people from prison, take every illegal who is a prisoner, tag them and send them back to their home countries with a do not dare to return sign. In the process, send the entire family back.
End of overcrowding problem.
Liberals have always taken the side of the guilty over the innocent.
Their hearts bleed over the execution of guilty murderers. They do not even dispute their guilt.
But they insist that there is an inherent “right” to extinguish the life of the innocent in the womb.

Too amusing. The article establishes the Democrats as the guiding force behind the sentencing, and the construction of new prisons to incarcerate the criminal populace, but says nothing about why the increase in crime in the first place.
We have no further than the Democrats seeking votes to find that answer.
Now they want to make it legal for criminals to vote, and to release criminals for their votes.
Drug crimes are political crimes, and our jails our indeed packed full of these political prisoners.
