President Barack Obama said Monday he believes the Senate has a constitutional obligation to vote on a president’s nomination to the Supreme Court, staking out a position at odds with Republicans and some legal scholars.

Obama made the claim in an online video interview about his stalled nomination of U.S. Circuit Court Judge Merrick Garland. Asked if he thought the Constitution’s language about “advice and consent” meant the Senate had an obligation to hold a vote, Obama told BuzzFeed News: “I do.” […]

The GOP has pointed out that in 2005, Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid argued that the Constitution doesn’t say the Senate has a duty to vote on presidential nominees. …

The Senate should obligate themselves to return to the original six justices. As the liberals vanish the constitutional supporters become the overwhelming majority without a single vote.

If I was running the senate I would schedule the hearing for sometime in march 2017. Obligation to be fulfilled shortly. Courts take a long time to hear cases. The senate can work as fast as the courts.

Obama continues with the lies.

Shumer and Reid, in 2005, said they were not required to vote.

Obama’s people and the MSM (is that redundant?) are the folks that said he was a Constitutional scholar. No proof of that has ever surfaced, AFAIK.

Even the Profs at the Univ. of Chicago turned him down as becoming a professor. ...Obama became an adjunct lecturer to students in the Black Studies; just giving his opinion on the effects of the Constitution on black people.

Still, just like Al and Jesse, he persists in living the lie. (Neither Al nor Jesse have earned the title “Rev”, yet they continue to let the public think otherwise. Al was “ordained” by a DC preacher at age 10, but has never tried to correct the perception.)
