I just recently figured out the secret to pie crust and biscuits. I think I was over-processing the dough before. If she uses a food processor, spinning the flour and FROZEN butter or shortening 3 times, then adding ice water one tablespoon at a time, spinning one time with each addition, just until the dough holds together is the key to flaky crust. Too much water and it is tough, too little and it is powdery.

I finally self diagnosed a problem with my sciatic nerve. A real mystery as it jumped from my right leg, to my left leg. Feeling much better today.

I read a book by Dr. Bernie Siegel, Love, Laughter and Medicine, which prompted me to attend two of his lectures. He said emphatically, that the most cantankerous patients, time and time again, pulled through with their illnesses, at a far greater percentage than the polite and compliant patients did.
He surmised that the fight in the belly, displayed by these rather uncooperative patients, was part of our survival skills- a part of our dna. Our instincts have been honed over millennials of time, best we use them to our advantage.
Fight the good fight ya’ all!

That’s good to know! I don’t trust doctors and double check everything they say. And questioning them until their huge egos explode. I didn’t know this would end up being a good thing!

I see that the interview is being held at Trump’s campaign HQ’s, in Trump Towers. It’s a formerly vacant unit that is bare bones. Zero decor save for the impromptu signs and such affixed to the walls, and the garrison size US flag that is the backdrop. There are probably some internet memes and other funny images that we’ve likely seen or passed on here at the Trump Family thread, that are part of the creative selections chosen by the campaign staff, taped to that wall to Trump’s rear/left. I like it!

BTW, nikos is excluded ;) Most family doctors are nice people. My sister was a neurologist and changed after she took God101 in med school. Then a series of hand specialists that couldn’t diagnose my rare but textbook symptoms has left me bitter. I figured I’d die of cancer or something eventually because I try to avoid doctors.
Just remember 50% of all doctors graduate in the bottom half of their class !

After the SC ruled quotas legal, I decided to only go to white male doctors. now I need to add American names to that. I’ll likely never get to see a doctor again!
Speaking of 50%... something like half of all patients that enter a hospital, don’t leave alive. I’ll admit, it needs sourcing to be believed. I heard this rather stark statistic, from a renowned motivational speaker, who was quite successful and very intelligent, and would not necessarily advance his career, by espousing nonsense to a paying audience. STAY OUT OF THE HOSPITAL! AHHH! lol ;O)

You know what’s the funniest? We all chastised Christie for hugging Obama, and giving him the election, possibly. Turns out that having Obama in office those 4 years, gives us Trump. So Christie is redeemed.
