One of our FReeoers from TX, not too far from Houston died from complications after a weight loss surgery. She was in her thirties, IIRC. Had young kids, I think.
Nothing on the local news tonight from the Houston area.
I was trying to think last night of the FReeper’s name that died from that surgery, but it wouldn’t come to me. Finally, after several Google searches, I found the name/thread of the FReeper. I knew it was quite a bit ago (2005):
