Earnest said Republicans in North Carolina started the controversy by passing legislation (HB2), which negated a Charlotte city ordinance allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice.
Correction: the liberals in Charlotte started the controversy, by passing a city ordinance which went too far. So the state passed a law to restore the status quo.
See what they are doing? They are accusing the Republicans/conservatives of starting this controversy, when it was the liberals who decided to pick this fight. They are the ones who started it by passing the Charlotte ordinance to start with.
Facts don’t matter to liberals.
Ding ding ding....we have a winner! Exactly right Dilbert San Diego!
Thank you for your post! You are so right.
The liberal mayor of Charlotte, Jennifer Roberts, is the one to blame! She and her gender confused buddy pushed the ordinance. It turns out he (or is it she or is it who knows) is a minister who was abusing young boys in his church. He is a registered sex offender. Birds of a feather.
The two of them pushed the city council to pass the ordinance. Even though they had been warned it would be overturned by the state Roberts wanted to use the ordinance to attack the Republican controlled legislature. She has caused millions of dollars of damage, lost revenue and lost jobs, to the city and to the state.
Exactly
And no one mentions what would have been the easy resolution to all this.
Charlotte rescind its ordinance. Simple
The trannys were using the bathroom of their choice with no repercussions.
I have never heard of any problems with bathroom usage as it was. Female tranny goes into a stall and does his/her business. No one knows. Same with male trannys.
This was a solution looking for a problem.
No, that wasn't/isn't good enough. They want to flaunt their lifestyle and dare us to do anything about it. They want us to not only tolerate it, they want it accepted and mainstreamed.
And bathrooms is only the least offensive of it. The locker and showers is an entirely different and far offensive .
Sorry Charlie.
Sadly they don't matter much to anyone anymore.
