This hurts U.S. manufacturers that use steel as an input. A few posters say Chinese steel must be of low quality, but obviously buyers would be the best judge of that.
I’m guessing the buyers of Chinese steel care about as much about quality as the companies that used to buy Chinese drywall. Once it’s in a product and sold to the public, nobody gives a damn.
