I looked this up about a year ago. Who remembers how long ago a communist party candidate stopped appearing on the presidential election ballot? 1988. I thought it was later. Prior to that CPUSA and other socialist orgs in the US would NEVER consider a Democrat. It didn’t even consider itself on the same continuum as the mainstream American political system. It was REVOLUTIONARY.

Well, here we are in 2016 through the corrosive method of incrementalism: candidates that CPUSA not only tolerates but is working with.
