I actually do believe coal is in a decline.
With all the new technology, burning coal has never been cleaner. The only way it can be banned is by deeming CO2 a pollutant, which it isn't. I cannot see the rush to close all the coal plants when many have 20-30 years of useful life left. Why not just phase them out if they are so bad? However, the lefties have cronies waiting in the wings with alt energy companies, waiting to capitalize on this uneconomical, politically driven opportunity.
Lots of good thoughts on this thread. Hope the world will come to its senses soon. It is a shame to close more plants with useful life due to climate hysteria.
