I’m always blown away by the sense of entitlement that uses that “logic”-probably because where I come from, you have to earn money to buy stuff, and grow some food yourself if you want it fresh and chemical free. If you don’t have money, you certainly won’t be getting a phone-or even shelter.
If people like the rapper and his mommy are that unwilling to do something useful, then let them have a loaf of cheap white bread, a bag of potatoes, some government cheese canned veggies and maybe even a fresh chicken-stuff that has to be cooked-paid for with food stamps-but not one other goddamned thing-especially not on our dime-better yet, let them go to the nearest church or other charity for some food-that is what they are for...
You're more generous than I am. How about a bag of flour, a loaf pan and a packet of yeast? I'll even throw in a short set of instructions on how to bake bread, illustrated. It takes some effort and some time to bake a loaf of bread but I'm sure if they get hungry enough they'll figure it out.
