Target Sues Customer Who Saved Shopper from Stabbing
Freedom Outpost ^ | 5/21/20016 | Tim Brown

Target stocks continue to fall and are at almost a $20 loss per share, but that isn’t stopping the retail company from suing one of their own customers who saved another shopper from a stabbing attack.

Target stocks plunged $2.5 Billion in just 10 days once word got out about the company's pandering to less than half a percent of the population, which would open up bathrooms to those of the opposite gender. The stocks continue to fall and are at almost a $20 loss per share, but that isn't stopping the retail company from suing one of their own customers who saved another shopper from a stabbing attack.

Breitbart reported on a 2013 event in which Michael Turner grabbed a baseball bat and used it to chase of an attacker and save the life of a young woman who was being attacked in a Target store. Instead of offering praise or award for Mr. Turner, the store has chosen instead to sue him for endangering other customers in the store with the bat. No, this is not satire.

Target, however, is less grateful for Mr. Turner's heroics. And now the retailer is suing him for "endangering" the store's customers.

According to the company's filing, Target says Turner and several others chased the suspect toward the store's entrance after the attack on the girl. The store insists Turner put other shoppers at risk with his actions.

The victim of the stabbing and her family are furious with the retail chain and say Target is just trying to shift the blame away from its own security failures.

"Suing Michael Turner is just Target's way of trying to blame someone else for what happened under their own roof," the Meadows family attorney said. "The family certainly doesn't blame Mr. Turner and they are thankful he was there that day."

Can you say "stupid"? Who is calling the shots at Target? Is Target CEO Brian Cornell aware of this incident? If so, does he not have enough sense to put an end to such a ridiculous and frivolous lawsuit? There is no way a jury will side with Target against Mr. Turner.

Mr. Turner should be held as selfless hero who put his own life at risk to save another. I'm wondering now if Mr. Turner or the young lady will ever step foot again in another Target store.

To be sure, Target's competitors are probably having a field day over this as more and more business leaves the transgender supporting, criminal aiding retail company. I say, "Good riddance!"

The victim of the attack should sue Target for enough money to be able to retire. Split the proceeds with the guy that defended you as he needs it. To stock holders of Target: fire all people involved in this shameful episode.

I did visit Target last week. Why? Because we had an outstanding $100 gift card and wanted to make sure it got spent.

However, unless they change there ways, that will be my last transaction with Target.

I’m torn. Do I start shopping at Target so I can then boycott them?

I don’t shop there now because I did several studies for my MBA and Target is more expensive across the board than Walmart. Also, the on-their-sleeve liberal politics of the artsy-fartsy liberals who shop at my university town Target made me nauseous. (Lots of Go-Green bumper stickers on huge SUV’s and Coexist bumper stickers on Subaru’s.)

The family of the girl is probably suing Target and they in turn will sue “down hill”. They place the blame on the young man who was heroic to help the victim. Target is against violence in their stores. Target will probably by out of business by 2017. People are rising up and fighting back.

Snopes investigated this and
WHAT'S TRUE: Target stores filed a lawsuit against Michael Turner over a 2013 stabbing incident in one of their stores.

WHAT'S FALSE: Target did not sue Turner for saving a girl from being stabbed in their store.

However, Michael Turner was not sued merely for his having saved Allison Meadows from being stabbed. Rather, Target claimed that Turner and others had recklessly endangered customers when they brought a confrontation that had started outdoors into the store. News articles published at the time of the incident in March 2013, as well as articles published in July 2015 when the lawsuits were filed, detailed the events leading up to the attack on Meadows:
According to the criminal complaint, the incident began when Walls stabbed a man named Jobe Wright near a construction site on nearby Highland Avenue. Police said Walls ran down the street toward Penn Circle and into Target, followed by Wright, his friend Michael Turner, and Tyrique Walker, who called 911 to report their location, and Roland Smith, who grabbed a baseball bat to help Wright.

Once they were all inside the store, "Walls saw Walker and attempted to stab him with a large swing at his neck area," the complaint said. "Walls, missing his target, then moved towards the checkout area at the Target store where he began trying to stab additional victims who were in the store. Walls then grabbed Allison Meadows and held her against her will at knifepoint in one of the checkout lanes to use her as a shield. Victims Hosea Davis, Mike Turner, Jobe Wright and Roland Smith attempted to subdue Walls and to free Meadows when they saw him poke the knife into Meadows' back."
So, not quite the simplistic story we thought

So Target would have been aok with a girl stabbed to death in their store and every one standing around with their hands in their pockets.

Perhaps they need a warning sign.

“If you witness someone being attacked in our store, do not help or we will sue you.”

Good Samaritans are not welcome at Target

“People are rising up and fighting back.”

I call this the Trump Effect. Someone with enough guts to call shots as they really are, not what the left reinvents them to be. It’s very welcome and very refreshing.

So yes, people are finally fighting back.

To hell with Target, they can fail.

Look at Sears, they had very stupid policies (not politically related though) and were bought up by KMART. Fifty years ago, no one would have thought Sears & Roebuck would have been bought out by S S Kresge.

Hi, my name is Brian Cornell and I approve of transgender bathrooms, gay marriage, atheism, and Christian customers being beaten. No I am not gay. I'm married though I may accidentally look at male stockroom's butts occasionally...

Got one of those a couple of years ago, wished they’d of just cashed it in. For me it’s a 2 hr round trip drive not worth the gas to go. I always buy Amazon cards for our grands, great grands. Some one else can do the shopping. If I get another I’ll return to sender so they can get a refund and request an Amazon card. All decent shopping is 2 hrs round trip when you live rural. Only time I go shopping in a regular store is groceries or to the Navy Base to pick up meds. Have to make a once a year trip for new shoes for hubby.

BOYCOTT TARGET PETITION you don’t have to shop there to be heard.

As I’ve said of GM, I don’t need any more reasons to avoid shopping at Target, but they just keep on coming.

If Target offered me to take televisions and computers out of their store free, I'd decline.

Don’t use the word ‘lay’ in that context.

Just a suggestion.

The guy stabs someone and is chased then runs into Target. . .choices are to pursue to stop him (no telling what walls will do), or just stand outside and do nothing.

1) Target says law-abiding concealed carry citizens not welcome.
2) Target welcomes men who want to share women’s bathrooms.
3) Target sues man who stops a murder in their store.

Not a store I want to shop in.
