For a while, I’m not sure if this is still true, if you won the lottery in Illinois you could not cash in your ticket because the legislature was behind approving the budget so the controller couldn’t pay out lottery winnings.

this is why the state of illinois is bankrupt. it is so bad they were asking people to take an iou for their lottery winnings. if people thought detroit was bad wait till illinois files for bankruptcy. it is beyond me why anyone is stil in the state. illinois the nutsack of america.

I've said for a long time that we are like Russia....the party people....govt workers....get the vacations on the Caspian sea and the actual workers get keep working to pay for it....

of course we've got lots of govt workers on FR...lots of retirees one who once bragged that he was triple dipping....

when the revolution comes....
