He said if he said he declared his support Trump now, it would be irrelevant because he’s the presumptive nominee and it would be like he waited too long.
I guess poor Rush feels irrelevant now.
Does that mean it’s too late to support Trump in the general by getting on board the Trump train now?
Rush is waiting for Trump to “come to his senses” and support Free Trade, H-1b and open borders. Oh and forget the wall thing. At that point Rush will be fully on board with Trump as soon as he “moderates”.
Some careerist chattering classers like Rush are holding back support for Trump and hoping to get an “I told you so” moment. Loser Cruzers have already tried it. How principled and conservative of them.
The mainline TEA Party orgs won’t be getting on the Trump Train. Like Cruz they plan on fundraising off opposition to some part of the Trump agenda. It’s all “conservative” kabuki and they intend to keep playing the rubes on Main Street because it’s quite profitable for them.
To his credit, he isn’t speaking negatively about Trump, but is emphasizing his continuing to catch up to Hitlery in the polls.
I think he’s on his fourth marriage. I think Rush should be more forgiving towards Trump as well.
No, he mockingly repeated Hillary's Benghazi line, "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
That was worse.

I think your post is very smart! In my bones, I’ve always felt that Cruzites couldn’t wait to say I told you so. I think some of them - not all - hope Trump fails to Clinton.
At the end of the day and for all his kvetching, Limbaugh is another media type whose daily yip yap revolves around the latest DC political blather, because that’s the level of discussion that pays the bills for all these talking heads.
Since the media is all about entertainment, it is argued that programming needs to be be kept light by avoiding thought provoking discussion and reflection.
Consequently, conservative principles are summarized in one or two word bromides such as freedom or gun rights.
Next time you hear any of them utter anything similar to the following; “Many are unaware that States Rights evolved from the Principle of Subsidiarity, formulated by William of Ockham, a 12th century Franciscan Monk.”; will be the first time.
Home truth is that most of these talking heads never heard of it either.
I don’t think Limbaugh is anyway near that altruistic. Sea Island assignment, which he evidently took to heart.
If Limbaugh won’t come out with a “full-throated” endorsement of Trump by now he is a damn fool personally and professionally.
I strive not to make my decisions based on feelings. I detest the “electability” argument becuase only God knows who will win. If you are disappointed in November I cannot relish it. I’ll pray for Trump and praise the good he says and does.
Three divorces, four marriages.
Rush refused to offer any type of support for Trump, in fact he said the primary isn’t over yet, and mentioned Cruz’s win in no voters WA.
He mentioned Cruz today? I must have missed it. I had my Kitchen Aid running at top speed!
“Rush refused to offer any type of support for Trump, in fact he said the primary isnt over yet, and mentioned Cruzs win in no voters WA.”
If he really means that, he has lost his mind. Either that, or he is a poor loser and just chooses to be bitchy about it.
There is something completely irrational about this on his part. It reminds me of the Congressional Republicans who will not stand up to Obama — it cannot be explained by any factors we know about. There is something hidden in the background that would explain it all, and it is not good.
I wonder why he took the call. Whether he likes it or not, he’s going to have to deal with a Trump nomination. What does Trump have to do to gain his loyalty (I mean, aside from kissing Cruz’s ass)? Trump has the potential of being an excellent president despite his lack of evangelical bona fides, ho hum.
Also, did Rush take a swipe at the Catholic Church today?
Why does Trump need it? He got where he is without it.
You know Rush will cheerlead for Trump every chance he gets and he'll criticize when he needs to just like He always has.
Are you a regular Rush listener? Because he has never cheered for Trump. He is and was a Cruz supporter as you were.
Of course, Trump doesn’t ‘need’ it but since Trump has always spoken highly of Rush - they were friends - it would be nice if Rush could return the favor.
“Are you a regular Rush listener? Because he has never cheered for Trump. He is and was a Cruz supporter as you were.”
Just checking in. No longer listen to Rush. This thread used to get up to 600 hits. Now 1/10th that much.
