You are right about me not being completely familiar with Dylan’s catalogue. I think that it has to do with when I grew up and what I listened to. I couldn’t ge past his voice. Ever..

Actually I was referring to his song writing skills. I can agree that if you can’t get past the voice you will not see the song writing genius. Again , to each his/her own. The music either hits you or it doesn’t. There is no right or wrong answer.

The original. The slower version. Another underrated gem is “ Beyond the Horizon “.

I prefer the slow version as well. I’ll have to go listen to Beyond the Horizon.

I was also referring to song writing skills. Bob Seger, Tom Petty, Glen Fry & Don Henley are some of the very best song writers that ever existed.

But I will give Bob Dylan one thing, he had a huge impact on a lot of young, dreamers before they became stars. Tom Petty is one.
