No he didn’t. Cruz has just a little over 1/3 of the delegates Trump has, most gained through caucus not the electorate voting and many by flat out deception.
Conservatives will not vote for him, Evangelicals will not vote for him, he does not have the support of Texas and many people really dislike him.
He brings nothing to the ticket except problems. On top of that, there is the question of his citizenship status.
Pushing for Cruz on the ticket is beating a dead horse.
Only 11 and most of those were caucus states.
