I have 4, one fully operational, a couple getting there, and one a ways off.
I plan on keeping on them. 3 of them I can work on except for bigger shop jobs and anything requiring a lift. They are paid for except for the 2016 Tacoma and that is on track.
My ragged old Willys and AMC Jeeps and the beat up old 79 K5 stay if for no other reason to annoy liberals, especially my jerk commie neighbor.
The Tacoma and Willys live at home presently but there are plans to migrate things home. Getting the Willys roadworthy is a big part of that.
No doubt the commies next door will flip when another Jeep comes to live. Soon my rebuilt 750s carbs will be back and I can have it running too. It’s got a little electrical I need to do but it can idle in the driveway if nothing else until that’s done with the Jeeps.
It would drive next door insane.
One son is a mechanic/fabricator. We’ve done four timing belts in the last year, one of which was because it broke -the others for maintenance. The Tundra 5.7 (built in San Antonio) has a timing chain. Three of my kids work at ski resorts, and I commute 15 miles on the slab daily. Michelin XLT’s all around. Got’s to have wheels out west.
