It is not a true safari unless your shooting animals. They had a sight seeing trip.

A true shooting safari for the big five would set you back several hundred of thousands of dollars.

Just looking at them is a lot cheaper.

According to Merriam Webster dictionary online.com, the simple definition of Safari is: a journey to see or hunt animals especially in Africa

“Safari” just means travel or journey and has nothing to do with hunting. The word has been applied to hunting trips but that’s about it.
