Torable! Torable! Torable! was actually better than the 2001 movie Pearl Harbor.
I have always been a Tora Tora Tora fan myself. Better than the 2001 movie Pearl Harbor and yes better than Midway.
It placed everything in a historical context.
BTW, the radar plot of the Japanese planes coming to Pearl
Harbor is on display at the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C.
I really like Tora, Tora, Tora. You of course know what is going to happen but there is tension seeing things come together. And I liked that the dialog on the Japanese side was in Japanese with subtitles. I thought that added realism. It gave me a creepy feeling like I was a fly on the wall watching them plan and prepare for the attack.
