A vegan cafe in Tbilisi has appealed for public solidarity after being invaded by alleged ultra-nationalists wielding grilled meat and sausages.
More than a dozen men stormed into the Kiwi cafe in the Georgian capital on Sunday evening, the cafe said, shouting and throwing meat at patrons.
A brawl erupted but the attackers fled before police arrived.

I wish someone would throw grilled meat and sausage at me. Bring it. Lots of it.
Never mind “global warming”, planet Earth is entering a period of “global payback”.
No kidding. People have finally gotten tired of being hectored by shrill, self-righteous vegan/vegetarian animal rightists, eco-activists, and other new-agers. Dealing with them is worse than dealing with Jehovah's Witnesses at your door, because at least the JW's are usually pleasant and polite. If you want to have some strange diet and quirky new-age beliefs, have at it. Just spare us your moral crusades unless you want a backlash like this one.
The meat people should have stuffed a few sausages down some Vegan throats.
As a New Zealander by birth I am deeply offended that vegetarians would call their eating establishment the “Kiwi Café”
the Kiwi is the national bird of New Zealand and it is NOT a vegetarian..
it is a nocturnal bird which eats lots of yummy grubs..
are grubs not meat ???
a nice juicy rare grub to a Kiwi is like a nice juicy steak to us humans...
a wimpy vegetable name like the Tofu Café would have suited better...
maybe those outraged citizens were New Zealanders protesting the bigoted name ???

I’m not any kind of vegetarian. But perhaps they are referring to Kiwi the fruit not the flightless bird.

Every vegan I’ve met has had a grayish, cadaverous complexion. Most are probably anemic thanks to low blood iron and various amino acid deficiencies.
