So Billy Kristol (quasi intellectual comedian not related to Billy Crystal) contends he needs to leave the GOP to save the GOP. Kinda like ‘I was for something before I was against something’, or having a 'binder full of women'. Kristol needs to register as an IRS 527 group working for Hillary - because that is exactly what his efforts will yield.

So....Kristol supports the Democrats and Hillary by engineering a third party, losing, Independent candidate to some day save the GOP after 8 years of Hillary.

Is there a straight line to this logic somewhere? Let's commit suicide in order to cure a stubbed toe.

The neocons like Kristol were never true conservatives/Republicans. They were an opportunistic parasitical political cult. They took advantage of the fact the conservatives love the military and they kept flying the security flag to trick us into overseas military adventures.

This became apparent after the Cold War removed the USSR as the main threat. During that time the neocon views lined up with the anti-communist views of the Reagan era. When the Cold War ended the neocon's parasitic nature and their parasitic agenda became more clear.
