We both started out supporting Cruz in the spring of 2015 but when Trump appeared on the scene, I threw my support behind him and never looked back. He looked like a winner to me and Cruz looked more and more like another conservative that couldn't win it.
Well, I turned out to be right. Trump has won the nomination and Cruz lost. Or so I thought. This classmate I mention is on the warpath for my head simply because she found out I voted for Trump in my primary. She is livid. She still thinks Cruz can win it at the convention with some sort of delegate skullduggery. I suppose that could happen....in her dreams.
But now this gal is on a constant tirade, ranting and raving about how evil Trump is and is very angry that Cruz dropped out of the race after Indiana. She sounds like she's upset because he didn't call her personally and clear his decision to suspend his campaign with her first, before he threw in the towel. She's that angry. And now I am in her crosshairs because she hates Trump supporters as bad as she hates Trump himself.
She's got the Cruz-was-my-guy disease real bad. I don't know if she will ever recover. Sad case.
Thanks for sharing that sad story.
I grew to despise Ann Landers and never read another of her columns after she completely sympathized with a couple who’d been best friends forever with another couple who had voted for GW in 2000, and just couldn’t stand being friends with them anymore because of their vote.
