There were earlier reports, when the public info available was that there was a shooter at UCLA, there was a lockdown, and people were told by police to shelter in place.

This article is an update of that situation.

Whatever the reason was, it’s too bad that it ended this way.

Today’s events clearly indicate that UCLA is anything but safe.

I thought it was illegal to have guns on campus in CA. They’ll have to pass a stricter law to make it stick. If one law doesn’t work, then two should work twice as well.

Why would it being classified as a murder / suicide cause gungrabbers to not wish to confiscate the lawfully-owned firearms of others?

LAPD says 'campus is now safe'

Safe? I'm sure it's safe for the LAPD. They can carry guns. Civilians? Not so much.

Because these gun grabbers were hoping for a mass shooting, this was not a mass shooting, murder/suicide changes the dynamics so they can’t use it for their gun confiscation agenda. Murder/Suicides happen every single day in this country, wife kills husband, husband kills wife, boyfriend kills ex girlfriend..if this had happened at an apt near campus no one would have cared, only because it happened on school grounds did it become a story

As safe as you can be in a gun free zone where everyone is a target of the next lunatic that comes along.

Gungrabbers are undoubtedly disappointed with only two people deceased.
At the same time, they will still use the event as part of their gungrabbing efforts, something like this:
"...If it prevents just one murder / suicide like UCLA in our country, it is worth it to have comprehensive gun control..."

When seconds count, police are minutes away.

Well, all the cops did in this situation was terrorize the police and point loaded guns at hundreds of innocent students putting them a finger twitch of “furtive move” away from being blown away .

Very effective response.

Even as school population increases, school homocides are decreasing.

Or jilted lovers quarrel

If it is the later choice presented, we'll never hear a word of it.

If its a student who killed his professor than of course its not your typical murder/suicide..we will have to wait and see I was quick to pass judgment I shouldn’t have

Student (Most likely grad student) found out he wasn’t going to graduate.

Its happened before (SDSU I believe) and first thing I thought of when I saw the shooter post.
