When I was 13 I would have loved to have had my “youth stolen” in such a way.
It is nonsense plain and simple to say that a 13-year-old boy who is probably masturbating himself into insensibility every day lusting over women just like this is going to be traumatised by having sex with such a beautiful young woman.
Perhaps you believe in a mythical Norman Rockwell world where 13-year-old boys spend their youths running with their faithful dogs, climbing trees and swimming in rivers totally oblivious to the hormones surging through their bodies, such a pre-Lapsian time never existed.
The law is the law and I respect that, and the woman must be punished, I do not deny that, but let’s not lose the run of ourselves here talking about the poor kid having his youth stolen.

Well, I think it would be quite a stretch to compare my youth or the youth of my peers to a Norman Rockwell painting, but I sort of cherish the time when I didn’t have to think and worry about the crap I have to think about and worry about now. With people living into their 80’s on average these days, what’s the hurry?
Even worse, 150 years ago, people _got married_ at 15...and they also ran a starter farm from land their families gave them, and had real adult responsibilities. So, the time from sexual maturity to adult responsibility was about a year or two. Now, it’s moving lower on one end and higher on the other - to about 15 years, I’d guess.

Actually, in mine, they did! In fact, better. And this was the 60’s, with mini-skirts. And believe you me, they looked GREAT in them.

The complaint against Vera is filed in Harris County’s 209th State District Court.
Documents in the case centering on the relationship between Vera and a 14-year-old boy
allege that the two met when he was a student of hers in summer school last year at
Stovall Middle School.
The pair’s relationship apparently had the blessing of the boy’s family, according
to court documents.
The woman has a 4-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. Court documents
noted that she and the teenage boy were expecting a child earlier this year but when
Child Protective Services began an investigation into the relationship, she had an abortion.
