We can only hope that this incident won’t be considered a hate crime with the use of an assault flag. It may lead to federal prosecution and force the registraion or removal of all flags being flown by private citizens on private land. But the kicker is that any flag considered to be an assault flag is approved by the federal government under title 36 and the order code RL30243
