Correct. It is the height of arrogance to think that humans can have any meaningful effect on climate. The planet is immense. (YUGE, in other words). To think that puny mankind could change planet climate is deranged. It is idiotic.
As you implied, it is a matter of “SCALE”. Forget the costs, it is just preposterous that it could even be possible.
And that is looking at it from a “static” position. Any minuscule gain, let’s say in carbon emissions, would be set back eons by one large volcanic eruption.
What about a new ice age caused by reduced solar activity or are climate activists now suggesting that they can control the sun?
Just look at the effects that ocean currents have on climate. Can we control those? NO!
Mankind can only effect LOCAL climate/pollution. Heat Island effect is real and man created, but only Local. Pollution can be cleaned up and prevented. It is a matter of SCALE not just resources. NO AMOUNT OF RESOURCES can stop glaciers from receding or growing. Oceans levels from rising or sinking. Volcanoes from erupting or meteors from falling.
The only hope of changing these things is prayer. God is not bothered by scale.
Correction:
Heat Island effect is real and man created, but only local. Local pollution can be cleaned up and prevented.
Comrades,
Please refer to the latest addition of “The People’s Truth.”
Global warming is so last decade. Now it is the ambiguous, undefineable, always catastrophic “climate change.”
I must believe there’s guys at CNBC with significant holdings that would get slammed by the eco-Nazis.
It's weird news. CNBC calling the climate accord irrelevant and CO2 cuts a disaster. CNN ratings outperforming FOX News during the Republican primaries. Some of the mainstream media may be a little less predictable during the general election this time.
I am rarely up early enough to watch the pre-market commentary (before 6:30 am west coast) but a few weeks ago I saw and heard Joe Kernan (not to be confused with MSNBC morning Joe) who used to do daytime financial commentary (for some reason they moved him to the early slot maybe he breaks too often with the bosses’ opinions) also throw cold water on the global climate bs. So perhaps this story is not entirely revelation but its good to see real honest talk about this theory which I like most here think is based on bogus science full of bias and driven by secret agendas.
OK, this is strange.
Are they implying that the people of this world are as important as the elites?
Is that possible? Isn’t that a crime?
Where did you hear of this?
OK...just getting back to this thread.
Good to see that repeated!
I think Joe is on the conservative side of things.
Yes, a small break in the Media Wall!
