CBN News ^ | 6/6/2016 | Staff

Newt Gingrich is a busy man who could possibly get even busier. The former Georgia lawmaker's name is coming up as a serious candidate to be Donald Trump's vice president.

Just last month, Trump assured "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy that Gringrich was on his "short list" of candidates.

"Newt is such a great supporter. He's a tremendous guy … absolutely [he is on the list]. I'll say yes because he's been such a supporter. Anybody that supports me is on the short list," Trump told Doocy.

Yep. I agree with you. He showed his colors - and it only takes once for Mr. Trump.

Newt had no business doing that, and the words he chose were very revealing. I am certain Trump will not bring that snake in out of the cold.

I don’t think I trust Gingrich anymore. He is the consummate DC insider and is not going to do much to damage his place in the cocktail party circuit.

I have heard Trump say Loyalty is very important to him.

Newt said a dumb thing as an historian, he isn’t a lawyer like former AG Alberto Gonzales, with a name like that you can’t get any more Hispanic. AG Gonzales said Trump was right to air his fears about getting a fair shake in court.

If Newt didn’t know the is the La Raza Judge, he should read Free Republic, here that is all we have been talking about for a week.

The case should have been dropped when the lead plaintiff was dropped because she no longer could lie that she hated the course with her past statements and written review of the course were so positive.

The Judge looks very biased. The legal bar is preponderance of the evidence, and Trump has thousands of great reviews and letters how the course was instrumental in making people rich.

I’ve heard of ‘keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.’ But that’s asp to the breast level crazy.

Palin would be a friggin’ disaster (pardon my French). She’s one of the reasons McCain lost in 2008.

She’s a quitter. And that screechy voice of hers...forget it.

McCain would have lost bigger without Palin.McCain was a horrible choice/candidate.Palin is not the best choice now, resigning the governorship ended her holding elected office. She might do well appointed to downsize some federal agency.

I like your thinking on Newt. Trump doesn’t need a yes man. As for VP the cool thing about Newt is experience in congress, and the VP get’s to be president of the US Senate.

I think the chances of Gingrich becoming Trumps VP took a nose dive shortly after it was floated. Newt just talks to much. Takes a pseudo-neutral position and ends up shooting everybody in the leg.
