It's the angry ghost of CKLW "The Big 8," bludgeoned to death by the CRTC and by Can-Con. And I hope, I hope... it's pissed.

The sound of 200,000 people humming “Oh, Canada!” because they don’t know the words in French?
The sound of Detroit imploding into a black hole?
The collective sound of many hummers being given out down at the Windsor Ballet?

For large, unexplained booms (sonic boom) sounds in the countryside or edge of towns, I would think someone might be shooting at some tannerite targets....those things are extremely loud and reverberate for miles....

All these replies and possible explanations. FReepers are slipping.
Perfectly obvious to me, that humming is the awful sound of global warming at work.

Something to do with the “Windsor ballet,” I bet.
To: dfwgator
My first thought was Motown giving Windsor a hummer.

Does Detroit hear it?
Nobody I know has ever mentioned it.
Maybe it's a combination of high tension wires, semi-trucks crossing the bridge and just plain traffic noise..........
It's like lying in bed in the early morning hours with your window open and listening to all the birds waking up and the distant traffic noises. The same noises that your brain shuts out when you are going about your daily business.......
