Buchanan would have been a way better President than anyone in D.C. over the past 20+ years and he clearly has more relevance than any of them in either corrupt party.

I’ve thought that Trump is really Buchanan with a personality.

and big money and a broader sense of humor. Minus the serious Catholicism, however.

Moral to this story is all humans are ‘racist’ and, like skin tone, we come in many shades. Just human nature and the angle from which the view is seen.

Gowdy is useless. His only job is to hold carrots in front of Conservatives, pretending to be going anywhere, while going around in circles

“Is Pat suffering from delusions of relevance again?”

You mean like when Ronald Reagan hired him away from Crossfire to be his communications director?

Huckabee, Santorum, and Portman (there must be some others) have yet to put foot in mouth. I leave out Christie....he almost has to be Attorney General. There might be a small number in the HOR who are principled Constitutional Conservatives, and have enough years there to be viable.

In my wildest imaginations, I never thought that there was such a small number of US Senators, HOR members, and Governors who weren't totally compromised.

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Tuesday said Trump's remarks were "textbook" racism,

Hey Ryan, since when are Mexicans a "race"? Sounds like you need need better textbooks.

Actually I find it curious that his assoc. had HIM honored recently!

A bit confusing since it states the date is May 25, but the note stamp says June 1. So I don’t know if this a strong coincidence this very judge was being honored with a reception at the same time Trump made a complaint or what. No mention of the controversy.

This is the San Diego LRLA.

Trump’s actual statement as I have read it was fodder for the left. I think judge may be prejudiced not because he is of Mexican heritage (there are many judges of Mexican heritage not prjudiced at all and I know of them)

But if the Judge is a member of the big mamacita La Raza or has made rulings of concern, there is where Trump must even now double down. La Raza is arguably subversive.

I know that this stumble will not be forgotten. It will haunt and affect Donald from now on.

Are we gullible enough to take one part of a name and assume it’s the same thing?

I absolutely agree that it is weird they would choose such a provocative name, especially independently of the famous group.

i want to do more research. Sometimes there is indeed a connection, even through websites with tiny icons. We’ll see.

But it is a curious name to choose, even if NOT associated with the muckrakers.

Mission Statement

Formed in 1979, with a handful of Latino attorneys, San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association (SDLRLA) has grown to represent over three hundred Latino and Latina lawyers practicing in San Diego County. SDLRLA is one of 18 affiliate bar associations of the California La Raza Lawyers Association, which serves several thousand Latino lawyers practicing in the State of California.

Our purpose is to advance the cause of equality, empowerment and justice for Latino attorneys and the Latino community in San Diego County through service and advocacy. We are dedicated to promoting diversity on both the bench and bar. We support law students with mentorship programs and scholarships.

Our members include current and former state and federal court judges, magistrates, referees, law professors, State Bar committee members, county bar board directors, government officials, elected officials, lawyers practicing in all specialty areas and law students.

Specifically, the goals of SDLRLA are:

• Increase the overall number of Latinos in the legal profession.
• Encourage and support Latino and Latina judicial candidates to apply to the bench
• Advocate for the promotion and retention of Latino and Latina attorneys and judicial officers.
• Improve the professional skills of our members through our certified MCLE programs.
• Provide for the professional and social interaction among our members and other organized bar associations.
• Improve the delivery and access of legal services to the county’s Spanish speaking community.
• Provide role models and mentoring to Latino youth through direct interaction with students and school districts.
• Strongly advocate positions on judicial, economic and social issues to political leaders and state and local bar associations that impact the Latino community.

It is blatant hypocrisy.

All over the news this morning are people criticizing the judge who gave the rapist swimmer only six months for raping the unconscious woman.

The implication is that the judge was BIASED in favor of perp because both are white!!

The media are hypocrites to the max

Trumps objection questioned the Judge as he was associated with a racist organization. Trump made this question. To turn this about Trump is nonsense. If Trump was associated with the KKK we would be condemned. Will a Federal Judge disavowed the Racist organization of La Raza? Time will tell....
