Amb. John Bolton: Two critical conclusions from Orlando terror attack
Fox News ^ | June 12, 2016 | Amb. John Bolton

Posted on 06/12/2016 3:50:44 PM PDT by jazusamo

Sunday brought the latest terrorist attack in America, the largest mass shooting in U.S. history, with all its attendant tragedy. Words cannot adequately describe the horror that engulfed the scene of this massacre, caused by one Omar Mir Seddique Mateen.

Beyond the human cost, however, also lies the tragedy that Barack Obama, speaking even as it became clear that the murderer was a radical Islamic terrorist, is still unable or unwilling to draw the appropriate conclusions. The president’s remarks omitted any linkages between the cold-blooded murders, the terrorist’s ideology, and the broader international threat that motivated the Orlando killer and perhaps others yet unknown.

We will, in the coming days, doubtless hear that the terrorist was a lone wolf, that he did not belong to any known terrorist organization, that there are no wider threats. In particular, those who are blind to the terrorist threat will downplay even the incontrovertible fact that Mateen pledged loyalty to ISIS as he committed his murders.

Two critical conclusions follow immediately from Sunday’s tragic reality, one with immediate implications for our domestic safety, and one for conducting the broader international war against terrorism.

:: As much as you appear to despise gays, they ARE people and their deaths are tragic. Shame on you. ::

Don’t turn around at look back at the destruction...You might become a pillar of salt.

Of course they’re people and the deaths tragic BUT EEE is correct, the gay lobby HATE’S Christianity, they wouldn’t have the same compassion if it were 50 Christians. Anything Judeo-Christian is something they’re against, which includes supporting Islam. They’re so full of hate they fail to realize Islam is the true threat. They are ultra-PC, if you criticize Islam you’re an “islamophobe” which is too close to a “homophobe” - in terms of “wrong thinking” in their world.

A gay friend of mine is so left wing he just regurgitates whatever the left tells him, which includes support for Islam...they know the conflict between Islam and Jews/Christians, so long as they’re anti-Christian they must be ok, regardless of the facts.

Now we’re going to be expected to go along with “we’re all gay now” mantra over this. You’ll be shamed for not doing so.

Without a doubt, always has and always will. Him being elected as our President was satisfying to him only in the fact that he knew it was a slam in the face of all Americans.

"John Bolton is dead on the mark!"

I respectfully disagree. The corrupt, RINO-controlled Congress should have worked with the pres and the states to plan some precautions after the French tragedy.

In fact, the following comment from FReeper gaijin is noteworthy imo.

He was able to PASS his background check for his AR-15 last week IN SPITE of being investigated by the FBI not once but TWO times..!

Has anybody heard anything from Congress’s direction besides crickets concerning this incident?

But regardless that we can’t expect leadership from DC until Trump is in the Oval office, why aren’t the states protecting their citizens? If patrons can have a designated driver for example, why can’t they also have designated gun people, as opposed to French-style gun-free zones, particularly since the threat of Islamic terrorists is clearly real?

Right.

A former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who advises U.S. military action overseas in response to a terrorist attack in Florida carried out by a U.S. citizen is 'effing retarded.

This will be the Obama mantra, while each future attack will increase the rant for more gun control, and Obama’s failures go unmentioned and buried by the mainstream media. And the slaughter will not only be unabated, but will likely intensify.

For some reason, this reminds me of a story out of the Soviet Union. There was a mass murderer in Moscow, but the authorities did not want anyone to know. That is because communism is supposed to be such a perfect governing system that problems like murder would not exist; letting the public know there was a mass murderer would have put the lie to that narrative. So the authorities quietly investigated and found a perpetrator, tried and executed him. Wrong guy. So they looked and found another perpetrator, tried and executed him. Again, wrong guy. I don't recall how many innocent men they tried and executed before finally getting the mass murderer.

What you said has me picturing that same sort of situation happening in the US. Secretly arresting and executing innocent people, because letting the public know that a violent Islamist is on the loose would embarrass the government...

“Islam is a sharply divided religion...”

There’s your problem right there...

Islam is NOT a religion. If you quit thinking it is you’ll understand.

Islam is a 7th century form of repressive government whose goal is world domination using the tool of religion to keep the masses in check. Treat Islam as cancer on the world stage....treat them as Star Trek treats the Borg and Islam will shrink back to insignificance.

Resistance is NOT futile. We will NOT be assimilated.

Why do we need to go all over the WORLD fighting expensive wars?

The FIRST step is to suspend muzzie immigration, then maybe cancel it.

THEN we need to stop making federal loans to any muslim student pursuing a hard science, e.g. chemistry, biology, drone-associated study, etc.

This is BASIC.

Even if we win 100 wars but continue the flood of muslim immigration then we will have gained NOTHING.

AND:

Every Mosque in the US should have a “protection hut” —officers can come and go there at leisure, and enter mosques at any time, take photos, etc.

Which supports the conclusion that vetting the 1st generation is insufficient, the virus is carried in their belief system and will eventually surface in subsequent generations.

It is to be expected from Barry, who is a traitor to the United States of America.

Yah, dude, but the Christians aren’t shooting gays and tossing them live off of buildings like the Muzzies, are they? This is a fine opportunity to help them realize that Christian culture is NOT the enemy.

I rest my case...

All I’m saying is that Trump’s strength on his Anti Islamic Radical position could bring more people to support him. That doesn’t mean Trump would be endorsing gay lifestyle.

You’ve obviously missed out on Breitbart’s gay editor (Milo Yiannopolous) outspoken speeches against Islam after Brussels:

Open your minds, folks, to the potential here. Milo is making great strides against the PC Regime and Islamo-sympathy.

EEE is right. The gays and Muslims are together against Judeo-Christian civilization. But the gays have miscalculated if they thought the Muslims would wait for that victory before attacking them. Anyone who gets in bed with Muslims likely won’t ever wake up again.

The difference is one of kind. Gays are a political nuisance, and only because of their backing by the rest of the Democrat Party. Muslims are monsters carrying around Korans that are their version of Mein Kampf. Muslims are AIDS and plague.
