No expert, but suspect his ‘suicide vest’ (murder vest) may have actually held 30 or 40 round magazines. A crowded room, even semi-auto, 5.56 bullets flying around, going through and hitting maybe two or three people a shot and it’s not that hard to imagine over a hundred casualties in a short period of time.
One competent shooter with a nine mm handgun might have put him down. It must have been bedlam the first few minutes.
I remember seeing that story on TV when I was a tyke.

We don’t know that all the casualties were shot. As soon as the SHTF, people dropped their bottles and glasses, the floor was slippery with spilled booze and bodily fluids, littered with broken glass and doubtless many slipped, fell and were trampled in the panic.

something real fishy going on.... ive been scouring twitter and there are reports of a second gunman in the building. facebook and reddic are both being accused of removing any antimooslim - i.e. TRUTH about the incident and/or opinions thereof.
there are a couple of websites that shallnotbenamed that have most of the info - video of eyewitnesses - up on twitter and i’m assuming their websites.

It was a huge deal for my dad to ever enter a circus tent after that, which he did with me twice when I was young. Even as a typically oblivious kid, I was aware that he wasn’t happy with being there.
I never got to meet my grandfather, who died before I was born.
My dad died in 2004. I’m pretty sure I don’t like the circus because I think it’s boring and smells like animal poop, but there may be some inherited fears of it too....lol
How could one guy shoot 103 people, he was in ther with people for 3 hours before the swat team raided the place I am surprised ANYONE was left standing!!!!

According to Wikipedia, Charles Nelson Reilly was a survivor, so maybe it was a gay old time after all! That’s the only name that rang a bell with me.
and TWO such individuals LIKELY would have cut him down... and THREE such individuals DEFINITELY would have ended him before he got to 20.
If half of the people who were there actually were armed... the shooter would have gone to a more target-rich, defensively-limited environment.

Yep. I can understand why he did it - but the press is really exploiting his actions and trying to make it sound like there was more than one guy involved.
There is this big see something, say something push on. But terrorists seem to think outside the box and are not always conventional - like using pressure cookers in Boston - and seem to have the element of surprise on their side. People in the U.S. just don’t seem to be able to keep up and what could be a terrorist activity to one person could be normal to another, depending on your frame of reference.

Wait a minute, the guy reloads clip after clip, makes multiple phone calls, in the dark, hostages are held in multiple rooms, and yet the incident goes on and on and on for 3 hours?

29 year old shooter, good reflexes, presumably knew what he was doing, maybe using those M885 rounds with 10 grains of steel penetrator.
Like you say, a lot of less-than-Alpha males; as someone else pointed out, a floor slick with drinks and blood, people stampeding, getting between someone trying to shoot the shooter.
Hindsight is always 20/20 but you’re right. One, two, def. three armed good guys would have stopped him.
That was like shooting fish in a barrel and that’s my worst case scenario, of being in a situation like that, so I’m always armed, excepting the post office and courthouse.
And many of the grabbers will still cling to the belief, “If we can just get rid of ALL the guns.” They’re deluded. Bad guys will always find guns, even if banned. That’s because they’re criminals.
That kind of fits the homosexuals I have known, including one I have known for 40+ years.

Even if you hate someone and want to kill them, actually doing it is WORK.
Plus; In a crowded cramped nightclub (dark, probably).
Plus; Nobody rushed the shooter? Nobody pissed off enough to throttle the guy who just killed their lover?
Plus; Mag changes, delays, choosing targets, acquisition, etc.; killing people with a rifle is Haaard (as Hillary says).
Plus; Kill shot with 5.56? ‘Nuff said.
