It’s actually a good question. Politically, it is a bad domestic optic. It creates a confused narrative for liberals which is why they are blaming guns. If the perp was a conservative Trump supporter, the narrative would much more convenient and easy to spin up.
However, it may play well in Muslim countries. They may view it as justified or even a type of jihad against what they see as the decadent West. They might portray him as “Allah’s crusader” sent to punish the true infidels.
That’s quite a leap. I replied why it was that a gay disco was attacked by a democrat terrorist, not that I SUPPORTED such an evil act.
