Being insulting to someone who is trying to analyze this is childish on your part.
I am trying to figure out how one guy shoots over a hundred people in a packed building with a rifle. Putting a rifle up to your shoulder is hard to do in a packed place. The rifle is sticking out and is easier to grab than a pistol.
Perhaps the victims saw the bomb trigger and were hesitant to try and knock down the rifle for fear that he would set off the bomb.
Common courtesy not your strong suit?
The question is, would the shooter have gone in the club if he thought someone or more than just one someone was armed.
To repeat, bomb or no bomb, you don't grab an active shooter's weapon, you shoot him. In this case in the head. Irrelevant however since no one but the guard was armed. And he died first.
