It’s nice that some people benefit from DST but why should everybody else have to change their clocks so YOU can mow the lawn? I get an extra hour of daylight after work by getting there and leaving early.

I'm salaried. There's no getting there early and leaving early. I have to be there whenever required to service customers and staff during working hours. I work from my home office in Idaho with a staff in San Diego, customers in the UK and Germany. Most days I start work at 9 AM (to match 8 AM San Diego) and work until 1 AM. Dinner happens after 9 PM when my wife finishes her workday. Most weeks are 55 to 70 hours. It has been that way for most of the last 30 years. I turn 60 this year. Perhaps I'll slow down to 40 hour weeks and have some play time like most other people.
