A public university in Michigan has announced it’s deleting a requirement that all students complete at least one math course before graduating. At the same time, the school is seriously considering a new requirement that would compel students to complete four courses that promote diversity.
Wayne State University (WSU) in Detroit is one of the largest schools in Michigan, with some 27,000 students. Until now, all of them had to either take one of three basic math classes to earn their degree, or else test out by performing sufficiently on a relevant SAT, CLEP, or AP test.
But going forward, students will not longer have to demonstrate any mathematical competency to graduate, unless their particular course of study requires it.

Liberals don’t want subjects knowing math, they might figure out the lies the government gives us like the unemployment figures.
Took statistics to satisfy a business degree requirement and enjoyed it. It takes the uncertainty of the world and gives a likely answer, helped by truth.
While other disciplines help with building a bridge, statistics tells you how likely you’ll make a safe crossing.

I’m all for this. Math is hard. It isn’t useful. It’s outdated. Diversity is the new math anyway. What good is math if we don’t have a diverse group of people working on a problem. I mean, look at NASA in the 60s. They had to fake a landing on the moon because everyone there was white according to most liberals. There’s no way in hell they put a man on the moon without diversity! (Sarcasm)
When I went to college back 72-76 I can’t recall the numbers but it was cheap enough that I could afford it without debt, Parents helped now and then, and I lived with them and commuted, but the stories I read people ending up with 6 figure student debts? WTF? No wonder they have to invite in the math illiterate, I’d never sign up for that BS.
Here we are with the math again. If you divide the population into 54% W and 46% nonW, then divide each of these groups into 44% M and 56% F, then we have .44 X .54 = 23.76% PWO .
If we stipulate 22% PWO, then we must have ~ 40.74% M among the 54% W population. And then .22 + nonWM = .22 + p X .46 = .44, p = .22 /.46 = ~ 47.82% M among the 46% nonW population.
... so I don’t know how you arrived at that.
Wayne State Un. has been a center of Marxist and black extremism since the late 60’s so this is nothing new.

Community college 77-79 for allied medical field, used books were more expensive than tuition, between a part time job, a college roommate and a friendly butcher who always had a 19c a lb chicken sale, I made it thru fine.
Boy, were my neighbors happy when I stopped screaming at the rising sun every morning ;)
