Max Fisher, now of the New York Times, here spends 1,764 words purportedly to explain what the phrase “radical Islam” means and why it is controversial, and devotes nary a single one of them to exploring the Qur’an, or the teachings and example of Muhammad, or the doctrines of the various schools of Islamic jurisprudence in order to elucidate the phrase. Instead, we get obfuscation from the likes of the puerile and silly Qatar-funded establishment counterterror analyst Will McCants, who claims that the phrase itself is meaningless: “Every bit of that phrase is analytically unhelpful…Is this the wine-drinking Islam of the poets? The court Islam of the caliph? What kind of Islam are you even talking about?”

This is like claims Obama is the smartest president ever, there’s no proof. Perhaps they should start showing us all those love thy neighbor and turn the other cheek type quotes from the religion of peace. And as a counterbalance, some death to non-believers from the Bible or Torah.

Most people, and not just those on the left, look at Islam from their own point of view. They think most Muslims are just like everyone else. It must be a few extremists causing the problem because you can’t possibly (in their minds) have a religion that believes in killing people as a religious duty.

Okay, let’s play their game: There’s 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. If even only one percent are radicalised, that adds up to 16 million of them that want to kill us.

There is no need to worry, I mean 15 million crazies wanting to kill you is not a big number. I mean when you combine the active duty military strength of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, India, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Poland, you have...wait...hmmm, that's only 4.3 million, bad example. OK, let's add Russia and China as “allies”, hmmm, that's still only 7.4 million. Outnumbered more than 2 to 1 by just the 1% of fringe muslims.
I guess the “fringe” is a bigger problem than most people are aware of.
So the muslim fringe, based on a distorted understanding of the Koran, fought their way across Christian North Africa, conquered Christian Spain, fought their way into France, all within a couple of years of Mohammed’s death. They then fought their way across the Christian Levant, and Christian Asia Minor, and conquered the Christian Balkans, fought all the way to Vienna, conquered all of South Asia and a goodly part of Southeast Asia, holding most of it for a thousand years right up unto the present day, and did it all with a distorted view of Islam.
They are at war with Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Christians, each other... They kill anyone who converts to Christianity anywhere in the Ummah, anyone who marries a Christian, anyone who converts to anything, right up to the present day, all on a distorted view of Islam.
It turns out that a billion muslims misunderstand Islam, but American lawyers politicians and school teachers understand it perfectly.
