Women may soon be required to register for the military draft.

The Senate overwhelmingly passed a $602 billion defense bill Tuesday that included an amendment that would require women to register for the draft -- also known as the selective service -- for the first time in history.

Mercenaries for the house of Saud.

I wonder how long the American people are going to put up with this.

Nice work, Republican senate.

As if the small logic of “only fair” trumps reality as expressed in our traditions.

Up the House to shoot it down I guess.

Sounds like a good time to repeal the registration requirement for everyone. If some future conflict is so severe that it requires re-instituting the draft I am sure we will be able to round up the people needed to serve. After all, the government already has access to comprehensive databases of people, their addresses, social security numbers, etc.

The situation is entirely different now than it was when Selective Service was started.

Any nation that puts their women in combat situations isn’t worth defending!

The average woman is not an equal in combat. Men have far more physical strength.

Putting young women in combat roles on the front lines will result in women losing their lives, men losing their lives and America losing her wars. It will also make it easy for the Chinese to conquer The United States.

I recognize it. I saw it in a movie about the end of the Roman empire.

The elite trying to grab every last crumb even though their days are numbered, INSANE Edicts announced every other day.

Any day I expect obama to demand that senators’ wives work as prostitutes to help pay down the debt.

A majority of women that bother to vote invariably support the political party that favors this. This is what most politically engaged women want.

No, it doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, but soldiers are obsolete.

The majority of the world's engineers are graduated in Asia.
