German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has criticized NATO for having a bellicose policy towards Russia, describing it as “warmongering”, the German daily Bild reported.
Steinmeier pointed to the deployment of NATO troops near borders with Russia in the military alliance’s Baltic and east European member states.
“What we should avoid today is inflaming the situation by warmongering and stomping boots,” Steinmeier told Bild in an interview to be published Sunday. …

You have made an assumption that is not based on anything I posted.
To be more accurate, NATO was co-opted by the EU to aid its own expansion. Clinton helped a revanchist military campaign in the Balkans.
If such politicians as Steinmeier are talking against NATO, that means they’re ready to replace it with their long-wished-for EU military, with which they intend to stick a fork in Pax Americana.
