God help America. We need an Anton Scalia more than ever.
What ever happened to him?
What ever happened to him?
Concealed means Concealed.
I’ll carry as I wish.
To get a decent USSC Justice we need to elect Donald Trump and not “stand on principle” and allow Hillary to become President.
New York has a similar ban. Possibly other states. Could it be the Supreme Court is waiting for the case against the state law they can uphold. In other words, if say CT’s law is more restrictive than New York, they’ll wait for the case against New York’s law if it’s easier to uphold?
Just speculation.
I don’t know if there is a CT FReeper ping list, so I just C&P the state list
Hope you don’t mind; if you do....sorry.
I apologize to be the bearer of more bad news.
We NEED to get everybody out to vote in November and right this sinking ship.
Pray for America.
Pray for Connecticut...the *Constitution State*.
Cert was denied because they are waiting for the Trump court to form.
1. court not doing its job, needs to be replaced ASAP
2. by not doing its job, court is ‘denying’ American citizens their constitutionally-recognized liberties...and enabling the growing (Islamo-)fascist dictatorship in USA...
prepare to defend your friends, family, and self
street to street
house to house
its coming.... Obama’s brought in another million +/- Islamonazi terrrorists ....many of whom appear to be spending their days-on-welfare at the rifle range.......
and these states are trying to disarm you....
Fred LeBrun: U.S. Supreme Court to decide SAFE Act
FRED LEBRUN | October 24, 2015
EXCERPT:
It seems gun control is a never ending source of debate, conjecture and opinion, from all directions. A lot of fire, little light.
On the legal front, last week the second circuit federal appeals court delivered its long anticipated decision largely affirming the constitutionality of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s SAFE Act, but preserved the exception carved out by the lower court judge in Buffalo pertaining to the number of rounds allowed in a handgun magazine.
The overall decision was consistent with previous second circuit decisions on New York’s gun laws. An appellate court tossed activist Bob Schulz’s state constitution challenge to the SAFE Act, also predictably.
Now the challenge to the SAFE Act will move forward to the long-awaited last stop, the U.S. Supreme Court, because a number of federal circuit courts across the country have given contradictory rulings on similar material.
The next big pronouncement on interpreting the Second Amendment by the high court is on the horizon.
Who knows where that will lead, from very little change to monumental upheaval. If the latter occurs, the next wave of state law changes will be a tidal wave, with state court challenges and rulings to follow.
(...)
I predict more of the same until they get their 9th conspirator.
SCOTUS.
In 1986, the Supreme Court recognized that nowhere in the Constitution can you find "a fundamental right to engage in homosexual sodomy. In 2003, the Supreme Court discovered a previously unknown fundamental right to engage in homosexual sodomy hidden in the emanations from penumbra of the Constitution (the same place that you can find the Constitutional right to abortion, just below the Freedom From Religion clause).
The Heller decision is unlikely to last that long.
>God help America. We need an Anton Scalia more than ever.
F* the SCOTUS; they’re 1/3 of why we’re in the mess we are today.
What we *NEED* are Citizens sick-n-tired of GOVT, reaching into their lives, their wallets and thinking they have any authority to tell them how to live, what to eat, what to read, etc.
“...shall NOT be infringed.” So easy, even a lawyer should be able to comprehend.
Wouldn’t have helped to take the case right now. 4-4 split.
Shite.
