A new Quinnipiac University swing state poll puts Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in Florida, the two candidates in a dead heat in Ohio, and showing Pennsylvania is too close to call, while showing that Bernie Sanders still polls higher than Clinton over Trump in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
According to the poll numbers released on Tuesday:
Florida: Clinton 47 percent; Trump 39
Ohio: Clinton and Trump, 40 percent each
Pennsylvania: Clinton 42 percent; Trump 41
The poll conducted from June 8-19, surveyed
975 Florida voters with a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points;
971 Ohio voters with a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points;
and 950 Pennsylvania voters with a margin of error of 3.2 percentage points.

With Trump tied in Ohio and PA, it shows he can hold his own in that state.
Marco Rubio could help in Florida’s Miami/Dade, and I’ll not be surprised to see a Trump/Rubio ticket.

But there have been polls that have put Donald either neck and neck or even ahead in Florida. Isn’t Quinnipiac one of these firms that tend to oversample the Dem vote in their polling?
More numbers from the poll when the libertarians and Greens are added. My take is that the Libertarians hurt Trump more than Clinton with most of Clinton’s lost numbers being explained by the Greens.
Florida: Clinton tops Trump 42 - 36 percent, with 7 percent for Libertarian Gary Johnson and 3 percent for Green Party candidate Jill Stein;
Ohio: Clinton at 38 percent, with Trump at 36 percent, Johnson at 8 percent and Stein at 3 percent;
Pennsylvania: Clinton at 39 percent to Trump’s 36 percent, with 9 percent for Johnson and 4 percent for Stein.

This is actually good news in my mind following the Orlando attack. Trump was getting bashed for about a month straight prior to that by all sides, including his own.

I was off for a long weekend and traveled through Eastern Ohio, part of WV, and Western PA.
The only signs I saw where Trump and “Hillary for Prison” signs. And I saw them everywhere—yards, car bumpers, flea markets, car shows.
The only exceptions were a couple of Bernie bumper stickers on Priuses driven by misguided middle-aged women.

I think this is actually great news! A look back at poll numbers for Reagan Vs. Carter had Reagan way back at this time and we know how that turned-out. So, for Mr. Trump to be neck and neck tells me that he is probably ahead in these states.
The media may think its barrage of stories on Trump are having and effect when all they are doing is angering more and more of us every news cycle and steeling our resolve to get him elected.
A poll of 500 people can’t be wrong.
