This could be SOP in a hostage situation. I don’t know much about Law Enforcement.

Don’t depend of the police for rescue is the takeaway lesson. Be armed yourself.

They are usually good folks but they also have families and actually aren’t required to wade into a violent situation.

Judging by the killed/wounded number not changing (incredible as that number always goes up in the days following shootings) I would say everyone who was wounded bad enough to bleed out did bleed out.

This is inexcusable after Columbine. If you hear shooting you go in. Orlando PD screwed the pooch big time on this one. The officer had an AR and handgun and there were more than one officer present. My son who is an officer in training when he heard it took three hours from beginning to end of the event, said something is wrong here, bad wrong on the police end.
