Too bad Trump didn't mention William Magear "Boss" Tweed, the most notorious politician in American history--and a Democrat at that, too. What Tweed did between 1853 and 1871 is essentially a writ small version of what the Clintons have done.

I take your point, but I'm willing to bet that only a tiny minority of Americans under age 50 have any idea who Boss Tweed was. So had Trump reached for that comparison, it would likely only have confused the issue.

Well, maybe it's time to give the "uneducated masses" a lesson from real American history? And let them suddenly realize the Clintons are the modern version of what "Boss" Tweed did but on a MUCH larger scale.
